I love the McMamas blog and check it out often so I thought I would do 'Not Me Monday' along with all the other McMama lovers. So here goes:
I did not put my son in the bath and rinse him off (while at my moms) when he had an accident today because I forgot the wipes at home
I most defiantly did not have my husband get up with our 2 year old at 5:30 this morning even though he had to work today.
I did not try to give my son a leftover hot dog from last night for dinner today because I did not want to make lunch
I did not let my 9 month old crawl on the floor at the restraurany because she was not throwing a fit (my children would never have tantrums anyways!)
I did not not buy my husband chips at the store on purpose becasue I do not think he eats unhealthy
There it is...my first 'Not me Monday' post!

How much I miss my dear old friend....SLEEP
I frequently ask my children if they understand the concept of sleep because I don't think they do. I also don't think they understand what I'm asking them either, but they are only 2 1/2 and 9 months old. Last night they didn't go to bed until near midnight and were up by 6:30 this morning. Sometimes I wish I were the kind of mom who could lock them up in their rooms and let them cry it out....but I can't. The sound of their crys puts me in stressed out mode.
I would do a many things to get 8 hours of uninterupted sleep. I haven't had that in 3 years. Since I was pregnant with the Piranha. Even when my hubby would get up with our son I still had this need to be up to and make sure he was okay and K isn't exactly useful to our Princess since he hasn't mastered the art of lactating. Why ohh why I must ask are us women the ones blessed with the breasts.
You are probably wondering why I am sitting at the computer blogging while my children are taking a nap instead of catching up on some shut eye. My reasoning behind my choice to not sleep is simple.........my priorities are all out of whack at the moment. Which reminds me I need to close this post off so I can go bake some bread! Bon Voyage!

I can't say no
I have a bad habit. I'm sure from reading the title of my blog you can probably guess it's that I have no ability to say no. I can't so no to my toddler when he wants cake for breakfast, when my hubby wants you know what at midnight, when a friend needs a favor, and most recently when someone needs a sitter who do they call? Me. Why? Obviously because they know I won't turn them down. Three weeks ago I took on babysitting my husbands cousin's baby (L we will call him) he's 3 days older than my little Princess. Today I added a one year old to the mix (just for the day)so thats two toddlers and two 5 month old babies and one worn out mama. Not to mention L has had a double ear infection and my little man just got over a week long case of the stomache flu.
I have decided I will not clean my house tonight. I usually have to do the dishes and pick up toys before I head to bed but tonight I'm living on the wild and dirty side and leaving it until morning. Thank the heavens i have just my kids tomarrow. I plan on doing some organizing (we'll see if that happens) and spending some time outside. Well off I go to watch The Lion King....a very demanding 2 year old is insisting!

Diaper Duty
How interesting could a post titled 'Diaper Duty' be? Not so if you ask me, but being that it is 11:00pm on a Wednesday night, I have a newly turned 2 year old a 5 month old and I watch another 5 month old what else is on my mind other then the countless changes I do in a day. My days are plagued with diapers. Some dirty and some not. My baby girl just recently learned to roll over making diaper changes a little harder but the king of imposible diaper changes would be my toddler son. Here's how a typical change goes during the day:
First I get the whiff of a not so sweet essence
Next I smell each hiney in the house (only the ones 2 and under by the way) to find out who made such a foul stench
Usually it happens to be the last one to be sniffed and unfortuatley if its around 9ish am its my toddler (you can time his 'droppings' by the minute)
Then I chase him around the house...he's quite the escape artist and has mastered Hide in Seek
Once he's found and thrown (let me rephrase...gently laid down)on to the changing table I use one hand to hold his left foot, one for the right, one each for his hands, and one to wipe (wait that's 5 hands...that can't be right!) Unless you have kids you wouldn't understand how to hold a wiggling, screaming toddler down while wiping and changing anyways but it would make things a HELL of alot easier if I did have 5 hands.
Usually I get poop on clothes or the changing pad or most likely my hands so I rush to the bathroom to wash them. If my husband were doing the honers and the stinkiness were to get on his hands we would have an all out gag fest. With little man making fake gags to in return make his dad gag even more.
That's the shorthand version of a diaper change! Not much of a blog for tonight but i think it will do and really sets the mood for my future writings!
